Hi! How are you all doing? I hope you are all doing well. I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. Did any of you try the eggnog?
For Christmas dinner I made seitan steak, mashed potatoes with pesto, and asparagus. I was never a big fan of steak back in the day when I was eating meat, for me it always had to be well-done.
Since I have been making some seitan recipes lately, I thought I would try the “steak”.

I thought it was pretty tasty and my husband and son both liked it as well. We had some leftovers, so I am going to make a philly cheese steak sandwich with it.
Another recipe that I made this past week was vegan candied pecans. We were going to a friend’s house, and I wanted to bring a little something. I bought a nice, decorated jar and put in my homemade pecans.

The pecans reminded me of the warm candied nuts, I use to get at fairs.
