Hi! How are you all doing? I hope you are all doing well. Some of things I mentioned in the last email came in handy. We just got back from being gone for a few days and the peanut butter packets and oatmeal were great. The hotel we stayed out offers a free breakfast and we were able to get wheat bread and bowls, and hot water for our oatmeal. It saved us from going out to a restaurant to try and find plant-based options.
The peanut butter packets from Once Again were great. I did purchase them at Grocery Outlet, but not all the Grocery Outlets carry them. They do sell them on Amazon for more money, but it is still convenient to have them for travel. They also have other nut butters in packets on Amazon, but you need to check the ingredients. Some of them contained sugar and added oil.
We also purchased from Harmony House on Amazon an 18 count dehydrated veggies, lentils, and beans. I wanted to get a sampling to see if we like it. I need to experiment more with quantities and spices to make a meal. I also bought dehydrated veggie soup.
The dried beans came in handy when we were on vacation, and they had a make your own taco bar at the rally. I rehydrated some of the beans and we had them on our tacos.
I also purchased non-GMO dehydrated applesauce from thrivelife:

The applesauce isn’t great for traveling because you need a blender. However, it is very handy to have at home. A lot of baking recipes uses applesauce and it’s nice to have a backup.
Another place I purchased from:

They have a lot of backpacking products that are plant-based. I got the Pacific Crest vinaigrette, and it was great. It contains freeze dried broccoli, slivered almonds, cranberries, and raisins marinated in a zesty vinaigrette. Just add water and allow to hydrate for 5 minutes. You can take it on a plane or eat it at the airport. This would also be good added to a green salad or even pasta.
I also purchased sunrise tofu scramble, chickpea flakes, and balsamic vinegar packets from the outdoorherbivore. We mainly use balsamic vinegar on our salads and these packets would be great to take to a restaurant, since they don’t always have plain balsamic vinegar that we can use.
It’s great to have more options when traveling. If I come across any other products that are plant-based I will share them with you.
