6 Apps for plant-based recipes/info

Weekly Edition #91

Hi! How are you all doing? I hope you are all well. In this email I would like to share some apps that I found that may be helpful to you for more plant-based recipes and also by ingredients that you have to create a recipe.

Food Monster by One Green Planet - is free for some recipes but to get more of them you need to pay a subscription. It does contain a lot of ads with the free subscription but I’m not sure for the paid one. I just got the free app and it’s ok but I am not going to pay a subscription to get more recipes.

Forks Plant-Based - from Forks Over Knives - $4.99 - I do not have this one. If anyone has this app and would like to share about, please let me know.

Plant Jammer is a free app - It is the artificial intelligence algorithm-based app that helps anyone cook a delicious plant-based meal with whatever is in their fridge and pantry. I have this app but I don’t use it as much as I could. I usually find recipes from my computer and I forget about this app on my phone.

21 Day Vegan Kickstart - Free - by the PCRM(Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine) with Dr. Neal Barnard. I just got this app and even if you don’t want to do the 21 day kickstart program they offer, it does offer a variety of recipes. It also has nutrition videos and cooking videos.

Cronometer - free app - is a nutrition tracker that you can use to track your micro and macronutrients effectively. I have used this several times and it’s great for figuring out what is in your meal or recipe. I used this for a soup I was making and it gave me how much protein was in the recipe, net carbs, fat, and different vitamins and minerals it contained and the amount.

Daily Dozen - free app - This app provides a checklist of items that Dr. Greger recommends as part of a healthy diet and lifestyle. Besides the checklist, it also has the different kinds of food in each category as well as some videos. It also includes his 21 tweaks from his How Not to Diet book.

Do you have a favorite app that you use?
